Contract laser welding, plus laser cleaning and laser marking to drawing
Contract laser welding for parts and assemblies to your drawing: fine, low-distortion welds on steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and titanium. At our partner company in the Czech Republic, welding is done by hand, with wire feed or robot-guided, with laser cleaning of the welds and laser marking of the finished parts on request.
- Low heat input, minimal distortion
- Manual, wire feed or robot
- Welded assemblies up to 500 kg

- Based in Jena since 2011
- Manufacturing at our partner in the Czech Republic
- One contract partner in Germany
- Delivery by lorry in 1–2 days

Advantages of laser welding

Minimal distortion
The laser applies heat precisely and in small amounts. Thin sheets and precision parts distort considerably less than with conventional welding.
Clean welds
Narrow, even welds that often need no reworking. Laser cleaning removes heat tint and residues.
Many materials
Steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and titanium can all be joined with the laser.
Repeatable
Robot-guided laser welding produces consistent welds in series production.
Laser cleaning and laser marking

Laser welding often goes hand in hand with two further laser steps, which we handle within the same order:
- Laser cleaning: rust, oxide layers, paint and residues are removed without chemicals, blasting media or water, for example on welds or before coating.
- Laser marking: permanent serial numbers, codes and logos on metal, even on curved surfaces and very thin parts.
For sheet metal blanks and bent parts before welding, see Laser cutting and sheet metal processing.

Laser welding in practice

Frequently asked questions about contract laser welding
Which materials can be laser welded?
Steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and titanium. We check the suitability of a specific material combination when you send your enquiry.
How do I specify a laser weld on the drawing?
With the usual weld symbols to ISO 2553 and process number 52 for laser beam welding to ISO 4063. The key details are weld type, weld thickness or penetration depth, and weld length.
What is the advantage over TIG welding?
Laser welding introduces less heat, is faster and causes less distortion. TIG remains the better choice for some welds and is also offered.
Do you also weld with robots?
Yes, robot-guided laser welding is possible. This ensures consistent welds in series production.
How heavy can welded assemblies be?
Welded assemblies up to 500 kg.
Can the parts also be cleaned and marked?
Yes. We handle laser cleaning of the welds and laser marking with serial numbers or codes within the same order.
Where is the welding done?
At our partner company in the Czech Republic. Your contract partner is TOP Asia Technik GmbH in Jena.
